Spring Cleaning and Home Organization: Storage & Decor Must-Haves
With more sunshine and milder temperatures ahead, it’s the perfect time to transition your wardrobe. Here are five easy style updates for the new season.
Lightweight LayersSwap heavy knits for breathable fabrics like linen or cotton. A lightweight cardigan or button-up shirt is perfect for changing temperatures.
Breezy Midi & Maxi DressesLonger days call for effortless dressing. Flowy midi and maxi dresses are comfortable, stylish, and ideal for warm afternoons.
Bright & Pastel TonesTrade dark winter hues for soft pastels or vibrant colors. Shades of coral, sky blue, and soft yellow add a fresh touch.
Comfortable Slip-On ShoesAs temperatures rise, opt for mules, slides, or ballet flats. They’re easy to wear and add a relaxed yet polished look.
Sunglasses & Straw AccessoriesLonger days mean more sun exposure—invest in stylish sunglasses and woven handbags to complete your spring-ready ensemble.
A wardrobe refresh doesn’t require a complete overhaul. Tiny updates can help you effortlessly transition into the sunnier season ahead.

Dear Love, PVD: A Tribute to the Heartbeat of Black History
A Month-Long Art Installation Curated by QDXA VISION in Collaboration with Providence Place Mall
located at Providence Place, near the Skybridge entrance
This February, in honor of Black History Month, brand agency QDXA VISION, in collaboration with Providence Place Mall, presents "Dear Love, PVD: A Tribute to the Heartbeat of Black History", a month-long art installation. This innovative gallery is a love letter to Providence’s Black history, showcasing the moments that celebrate love, resilience, and triumph in tribute to Rhode Island’s Black community.
The installation features four digitally created pieces designed by QDXA Studio, each serving as a page in this heartfelt tribute. Each artwork highlights a specific moment in Rhode Island’s Black history where love and community prevailed. Visitors will engage with the pieces on a deeper level through interactive QR codes, which provide:
A written narrative about the moment being celebrated.
Historical context, allowing viewers to reflect on its significance.
An audio recording of the narrative, ensuring accessibility for visually impaired attendees.
The installation will officially be on display starting February 1, 2025, at Providence Place Mall. To celebrate the launch of this meaningful project, two reception events will be hosted:
Opening Reception: Friday, February 7 from 4:30pm to 7pm
Local Black-owned businesses showcasing and vending their goods.
Live music from The Juice FM 93.7 & 103.7HD2, Rhode Island’s new radio station, which will be DJing live at the event.
Closing Reception: Friday, February 28 from 4:30pm to 7pm
Vendors will return to highlight their businesses, and local Black-owned businesses will be honored and recognized for their contributions to the community.
Both events will take place in the Winter Garden area of Providence Place Mall
A Month of Equity, Community, and Celebration
The Dear Love, PVD installation is more than art; it’s a month of celebration and reflection. The activation events will showcase the amazing talents of small Black-owned businesses, creating an opportunity to connect, support, and celebrate the strength of the community. These events aim to highlight the incredible contributions of local entrepreneurs while fostering connections and uplifting Providence’s Black community.
Michael Costa, owner of The Juice FM, shared his thoughts on the significance of the project:
“It’s been time for change, and now the change is approaching. We need a voice for the voiceless and a bridge to real impact. Using art and media, we are making it happen.”
This event invites the entire community to honor Providence’s Black history, support local businesses, and reflect on the love and resilience that defines our collective journey.
