The journey of Fogo de Chao started in 1975 and a few years later they opened the first Fogo which then lead to expansion. In 2013 they opened their first flagship location in New York. The culinary team of Fogo de Chao continues traditions from Brazilian roots and is now bringing the churrasco experience to Providence.
The restaurant features an open-air churrasco grill where guests can dine and watch gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare and grill different proteins over an open flame. The Providence location features an outdoor dining patio with riverfront views, soaring wine displays, dry aged meat lockers for in-house aging and a lively indoor Bar Fogo area, ideal for South American cocktails and smaller, shareable plates.
